Formed in 1969 in Houston, the band’s lineup of the bearded Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill and Frank Beard, the unshaven one, remained a full tilt unit until Hill’s passing in 2021. Elwood Francis took over the bass duties after Hill’s death.
